Description

I was around 8 miles north of Mitchell, OR. This was taken at 10:19 am, using a 150mm - 500mm zoom lens. The shutter speed was 1/30 sec, ISO-100 and f/14. I was using a Pentax K-3 digital camera and tripod with remote shutter release. This was actually my 3rd Solar Eclipse. I was in the Army stationed at Fort Devens, Mass. in 1970 and in Montana for the 2nd Eclipse in 1979, and now in Oregon for my 3rd and it was just wonderful. The way home wasn't so good, the traffic was so bad, it took me 2 1/2hrs to travel 5 miles at one time crossing the Columbia River from Oregon to Washington.
